News on Commercial UAV Academy's latest CAA qualified pilots.
Sam came to take his flight test on a bitterly cold 2019 January day but left with a smile having passed. Sam’s own words convey his excitement at being able to offer drone services to his customers.
“Having started my own photography business in 2016, I wanted to be able to offer my clients a different style of photography using UAVs. Shortly after purchasing my first drone, I needed to obtain my PfCO qualification. Finding CUAVA through the internet and being aware of them through previous work colleagues, I wasted no time in booking my course and I wasn’t disappointed. I love flying my drone as a hobby and now look forward to flying commercially and moving my company in the direction intended with my PfCO.
Alan is fantastic, the course was delivered with great professionalism, yet wasn’t daunting at all. He offered help both in and out of the classroom. He is an expert in the field and I feel very privileged to have been one of his many students and I’ve loved every minute of the journey to achieve my PfCO. Thank you Alan!”

TV adventurer Ed Stafford attended the CUAVA airfield for his practical flight test. A cold day at the airfield with Military jets giving us a fly past proved to be no problem for Ed and he passed with ease.
Ed’s next trip will have aerial footage filmed by Ed himself and in preparation he came to Cambridge UAV Academy to get qualified.
We look forward to seeing the aerial shots in the next series!
